Advertising & Outlets

Over the past eight months, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art team has met with hundreds of prospective subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and individuals to broaden their participation during the construction of the Museum. Highlights include:

  • Three major diverse business enterprises outreach  meetings – attended by over 1,000 people (picture galleries, here);
  • Advertised in numerous publications such as LA Sentinel, LA Watts Times, La Opinion, LA Times; and with many community-based organizations (e.g. SLATE-Z, National Association of Minority Contractors, LA Latino Chamber of Commerce, Latin Business Association,  Women Business Enterprise Council, Southern CA Minority Supplier Development Council, Greater African American Chamber of Commerce, City of LA Business Assistance Virtual Network, Minority Business Development Agency, Councilmember Curren Price, and Councilmember Marqueece Dawson); and
  • Hosted two (2) Job Fairs where we matched local job seekers with union representatives and hiring contractors.

Our work is still very much in progress, and we encourage you to visit the website regularly for important Museum construction updates.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact us at inclusion@hdcco.com, or learn more about a few of the community organizations we’ve partnered with by clicking on their logos, below.
